WORLD MUSIC CAFE
January 1, 2019 - June 30, 2021
An ongoing project from 2019, World Music Café is a partnership between Multicultural Futures and United in Diversity. A project that provides training, work experience and employment pathways through ticketed events that celebrates our diversity through global food and music is very valuable for all concerned.
During COVID, WMC had to cancel its face to face training sessions that were being held in South Metropolitan TAFE Thornlie campus. WMC decided to do an online ‘show’ and the training sessions also had to be conducted online.
It was a huge learning curve everyone scrambled to learn how to interact virtually.
That perseverance paid off. WMC presented 4 events in addition to the online show. This project has now formed a social enterprise business which will continue till June 2021 at this stage.
